With a mission to build a representative Japanese American food brand in the United States, the company develops and deploys seasonings that are accepted locally in the United States while maximizing the potential of Japan, including traditional and advanced fermentation techniques and unique Japanese ingredients. Within two years of its founding, CABI has already opened over 500 retail stores in the U.S. and launched at Whole Foods Market.
Prior to founding CABI, he worked at Y Combinator, an educational startup in San Francisco, and then joined Archetype Ventures, an independent VC firm. He graduated from the University of Tokyo and studied at UC Berkeley.
