In 2016, Deborah joined Career Navigators SG as Director and Partner. A subsidiary of Mums@Work Singapore, Career Navigators is dedicated to helping women re-enter the workforce after a career break or transition into new industries. Deborah’s role focuses on working with employers to hire and support female returners—women who have taken time off work—as well as career transitioners seeking new opportunities.

Since its establishment, Career Navigators has collaborated with numerous multinational organisations to create bespoke Returnship and back-to-work programmes. These initiatives are designed to help women reintegrate into the workforce with confidence while balancing professional and family responsibilities.

In 2024, Career Navigators expanded regionally through the creation of Mums@Work Asia, extending its mission beyond Singapore to Japan and Hong Kong. The expansion marked a significant milestone in reaching a broader female talent pool across Asia. Later that year, Mums@Work Asia launched “Return-to-Work Japan” in Tokyo, supported by leading organisations such as Shiseido, Visa, Johnson & Johnson, and Microsoft. These initiatives specifically target female caregivers considering a return to the workforce, offering tailored upskilling and career support programmes.

Before joining Career Navigators, Deborah founded her own boutique search firm, specialising in talent acquisition for corporate clients. Prior to that, she spent many years in Regional Talent Acquisition and HR Business Partnering roles at top-tier banks and asset management firms. In these capacities, she partnered closely with senior business leaders across Asia to deliver on key human capital priorities, including talent management, recruitment strategies, employee engagement, and performance management.

Deborah remains deeply committed to advancing women’s careers, building inclusive talent pipelines, and partnering with organisations to design programmes that create sustainable workforce participation for women in Singapore and across Asia.
