Natsuyo is a Japanese-English bilingual cross-cultural facilitator, diverse team communication strategist, and best-selling author. She works with global organizations to empower leaders to communicate, present, and facilitate effectively across cultural boundaries.
A TEDx speaker, TEDx speaker coach, five-time Toastmasters International speech contest NYC champion, and the first Japanese recipient of the Certified Speaking Professional (CSP®) designation from the National Speakers Association, she captivates audiences with real-world stories from her career in international business and communication.
She began her career at ITOCHU International in New York, later earning her MBA from NYU and interning at McKinsey & Company. Today, she leads Breakthrough Speaking, where her mission is to elevate the global presence of non-native English-speaking professionals by equipping them with global communication skills that transcend cultural barriers.
She served as the first Asian board director of the National Speakers Association NYC chapter (2021-2023) and received its 2023 Member of the Year award. She currently serves on the CSP Committee board.
Beyond her professional life, Natsuyo is a competitive ballroom Latin dance national finalist, a proud mother of a teen figure skater, and a breast cancer survivor.
